Originally a hospital where local miners were taken to be treated for injuries and mental illness, United Verde Hospital did not become the Jermone Grand Hotel until the 1990s. Guests of the hotel have seen apparitions dressed as nurses roaming the building, and heard a bloodcurdling scream or two. Hotel staff are no stranger to paranormal activity at Jerome either. Slamming doors, electrical oddities, moved furniture, and more, have all been reported.

  • “Suicide room” 3rd floor

    Stayed in the “suicide” room on floor 3. Allegedly the most haunted room. My girlfriend and i both wanted to go after hearing reports of how haunted it is. We did a 7 hour investigation. During that 7 hours we had weird feelings, one evp of what sounds like a man saying “pleaaaaaase” that we not only recorded but heard with our ears. We also smelled cigar smoke. It was a fun trip the scenery is beautiful the hotel is definitely old but gorgeous and the people are really nice especially to the paranormal fans.   • weird feeling

    I had come here with my husband and 2 children for lunch. Couple things i saw and felt. The hospital smell was overwhelming to me, and my son, while my daughter and husband smelled nothing. While eating a piece of my son's food was flown off his plate. We all looked at each other..like what was that...but the worse, upon leaving...I experienced the worst feeling of despair and sadness when i was leaving, that i had to turn to look look up at the window and saw a shadow.
